Welcome to Assisted Living Concerns.com My name is Harry Carpenter and I’m concerned about the rights of seniors living in assisted living facilities. The purpose of this forum is to bring constructive ideas to the adult care arena.
My wife and I live in an assisted living facility in San Francisco, California. If you can imagine, trying to work solely with our residents council can be a slow and frustrating process.
I believe a solution to this problem is to form Family Support Groups, recruiting relatives, family members and friends of the residents. Communication from this group will provide helpful information to develop strategies and ultimately resolution to significant issues that affect the quality of life for all of us in assisted living facilities everywhere.
